Our main workshop: Toy Factory

A workshop emphasizing sustainable art, where participants create artworks from old toys, giving new life to objects that may have been discarded. The workshop provides tools for using different materials and artistic techniques, fostering the ability to imagine, explore, and develop creativity in a supportive environment.

Art in Public Spaces - Group Workshop

This workshop is designed for companies and organizations, where participants collaboratively create a sculpture for a public space in their workplace. Participants are introduced to the world of public art, deepening their understanding of the creative process and exploring how to tell a story and evoke emotions through material. The workshop develops a range of skills—including team building, group collaboration, creative thinking, and problem-solving—while producing a unique sculpture that reflects the group’s values, dreams, and ideas.

CityFactory inspired by great artists

Participants embark on a creative journey inspired by major artists such as Tim Noble & Sue Webster, Takashi Murakami, Andy Warhol, and more. The workshop combines imagination and practical exploration, uncovering the inspiration behind iconic sculptures and the techniques that changed the art world, and applying these principles to personal creations.

Lectures

In these lectures, you can learn about the story of the initiative—how it was created, why it continues to operate within the complex landscape of Israeli art and culture, and the choice to use old, forgotten toys as raw materials. The lectures also explore the project’s contribution to art, community, and the environment.
Lectures are delivered by Itamar Shimshony, founder and artistic director of CityFactory, and lasts approximately one hour. They can also be combined with a workshop.
