Meet the people behind CityFactory. Artists, designers, community leaders, and educators who work together to keep the production lines moving and the factory running smoothly.

Itamar Shimshony, Founder and Co-Director

An artist, entrepreneur, and educator. A versatile artist working in video and sculpture, his practice explores the impact of life, climate change, and technology on the world of art, using a critical approach infused with humor and irony. Itamar has taught in various departments at "Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design" in Jerusalem and served as head of the Art Program at "the Arison Campus for the Arts" in Tel Aviv. Since 2023, he has been part of the “Artist’s Classroom” residency program, maintaining a studio at "Bialik-Rogozin" School in Tel Aviv, where he works with students alongside his own artistic practice.

Elisheva Ben Tal, Co-Director

Creates platforms for cultural and artistic initiatives, works at the intersection of culture and community with a strong focus on connecting the two. She holds a B.A. in Community Social Work and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship at Sapir College. Elisheva oversees CityFactory with a broad perspective—strategic, production-oriented, and artistic.

Avi Bohbot, Graphic Designer

Designer of CityFactory logo, visual identity, and website, as well as the project’s graphic presence in the public sphere. He holds a B.A. in Visual Communication from "Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem", and an M.A. (Meisterschule) from the "Weissensee Academy of Art Berlin". In his graphic work for CityFactory, Avi emphasizes a playful and whimsical spirit, repeatedly using simple geometric forms that reflect the creative process at the heart of the project.
